Jinsha Lake is right there — it’s smaller and quieter than the famous spots, but that’s exactly why couples seem to love it here. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free since it’s complimentary, which you definitely can’t take for granted in Chinese cities these days.

The Room Experience

My room had floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out toward the lake, and the natural light was incredible during the day. The Canopy brand does this thing where they blend comfort with a bit of local character — you’ll notice subtle nods to Hangzhou’s culture without it feeling like a theme park. The bed was properly comfortable (not too soft, not too firm), and I actually appreciated the work desk setup since it felt thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown in there. The bathroom was spacious enough that you’re not bumping into everything, which is more than I can say for some four-star places I’ve stayed.

The breakfast buffet surprised me in the best way — it’s not just the usual international spread you get at chain hotels. They’ve got solid Western options, sure, but the local dishes were actually worth trying, and the coffee was better than expected. I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the dining area overlooks the water and partly because the whole atmosphere just felt relaxed. You know how some hotel restaurant spaces feel rushed and impersonal? This wasn’t that at all.
