Here’s the thing about staying in Xiaoshan District — you’re not in the heart of Hangzhou, but that’s actually not a bad thing. The hotel sits on Zhenning Road, which puts you in this interesting spot where you can easily reach the airport (seriously, it’s maybe 20 minutes), but you’re also well-connected to the city center when you want to explore. I found the area surprisingly walkable, with decent restaurants and shops nearby. You know what I appreciated? The parking situation here is actually manageable, unlike some places in the main tourist areas where you’re circling blocks forever.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from Fairfield — clean, functional, and thoughtfully designed without being flashy. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom had good water pressure, which matters more than people realize after a long day of sightseeing. What I really liked was the workspace setup — if you’re traveling for business or just need to catch up on emails, the desk area actually works well. The air conditioning was quiet too, which is something I always notice because I’m a light sleeper.

Dining & Amenities

The on-site restaurant serves a mix of international and local dishes, and while it’s not going to blow your mind, the breakfast buffet is solid — especially if you want both Western options and some local Hangzhou specialties to start your day. I actually ended up eating dinner there one night when I was too tired to venture out, and it was perfectly fine. The hotel also has a small fitness center that’s well-maintained, though nothing fancy. Honestly, for a four-star property, they’ve got the basics covered well without trying to be something they’re not.

  The room was clean .
  They use robot to send my takeout . That's quite interesting.
  
  What could be improved: 1) My room didn't have body wash so i called reception desk and ask is it normal that my room only have shampoo and hand wash ?(請問我的房間只有洗髮水和洗手液是正常的嗎?)
  He answered me yes(對的)😅
  After that my friend make another phone call to them and ask for body wash. Finally they send a security guard to give us.
  
  2) I turned on the "DO NOT DISTURB" light , but the cleaning staff still open my door😅
  
  3) When i check out and give my key card to the front desk staff , he just took it and didn't say anything .
  I did not know can i just go or not😅I stand there for maybe around 5 minutes , he still didn't say anything……….
  At last i have to ask him 可以了嗎?
  
  Please provide some training to your staff , i use Putonghua not English , so don't say that your staff didn't know English well .
  
  4) There a man maybe tenant? smocking in the elevator.I saw him carrying a lighted up cigarette walk out from the elevator.
