Practically speaking, the free parking is a huge bonus if you’re driving — finding parking near West Lake can be a nightmare during peak season. The staff speaks excellent English and seems genuinely knowledgeable about the area, not just reading from scripts.

  It’s absolutely beautiful, like a tourist attraction on its own with its own history and culture, residing on a very large compound facing the West Lake, with beautiful landscaped gardens and villas. As we stay at building 7 which is far away from the main building 8, we are glad that there is a reception at building 7 which makes it very convenient that we could get taxis and do our checkouts.
  The room is beautiful. The toilet floor is heated and so is the toilet seat, which makes it comfortable to use in winter. There are luxurious accompanying toiletries and room facilities.
  It is a perfect resort to relax in with a private part of the West Lake to enjoy. To get to other places, one would need a taxi as the attractions are rather too far to walk. But it is possible for taxis to ride directly to the building where we stay which makes it convenient.

  Incredibly beautiful location on the west shore of West Lake. Beautiful grounds – like staying in a nature park / Chinese Garden. Breakfast was an amazing bounty of Chinese and western dishes – everything was fresh and expertly prepared. Great location for visiting the West Lake region.

  Is very beautiful hotel and lovely gardens with Chinese water lily ponds. Situation right at West Lake, the views are spectacular. So serene and calm anywhere you walk in the garden. Staffs are very professional, efficient and helpful. Food at both cafe and Chinese restaurant are very tasty and creative.
