Narada Grand Hotel Zhejiang Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Narada Grand Hotel Zhejiang, you immediately understand why this five-star property has earned such high marks from guests. The lobby feels grand without being intimidating — there’s this perfect balance of luxury and warmth that sets the tone for your entire stay. I mean, you can tell they’ve put serious thought into every detail, from the marble floors to the way natural light filters through the space.
Prime West Lake Territory
The location on Shuguang Road is honestly brilliant — you’re right in the heart of Xihu District, which puts you within walking distance of West Lake’s most scenic spots. What I love about this area is that it feels authentically Hangzhou rather than touristy, even though you’re so close to all the main attractions. Couples seem to get this immediately (they’ve rated the location 8.0), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll to the lake for sunrise without dealing with crowds. The parking situation is actually refreshing too — free private spaces right at the hotel, which is a genuine luxury in this part of the city.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had that understated elegance you hope for but don’t always get. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views that change throughout the day — sometimes it’s the bustling street life below, other times glimpses of traditional architecture mixed with modern Hangzhou. The beds are properly comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and the bathrooms feel spacious enough that you’re not bumping into things. You know what struck me most? The attention to lighting — they’ve got it figured out so you can actually read comfortably or wind down in the evening without harsh overhead glare.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast buffet deserves its own mention because it’s one of those spreads that actually makes you want to get up early. They’ve got the international basics covered, sure, but the local Hangzhou specialties are where things get interesting — fresh noodle stations, regional pastries, and tea selections that go way beyond your typical hotel offerings. I found myself lingering over breakfast longer than usual, partly because the restaurant space itself is so pleasant, with natural light and views that make the morning feel less rushed.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.6 rating, this place clearly gets the fundamentals right, but it’s the thoughtful touches that stick with you. The staff seems genuinely invested in making sure your stay works — not in that over-the-top way that feels forced, but with a quiet professionalism that lets you relax. Recent guests have consistently praised the location (8.5 rating), and honestly, once you’re here, you understand why. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to the real Hangzhou while still having all the luxury amenities you want after a long day of exploring. The combination of authentic neighborhood feel and five-star comfort is harder to find than you’d think.

Reviews of Narada Grand Hotel Zhejiang
Very nice hotel in Hangzhou – Carlos from Italy – 25 August 2025 (9/10)
The hotel was excellent. Its location as well as the rooms were also very nice. I especially enjoyed the facilities, such as the pool and gym, and my bed was so comfortable that I slept wonderfully the night I was there.
What could be improved: I was hoping for a higher quality dinner. While I didn't try the breakfast, the dinner was unfortunately not that great.Exceptional – Peiyan from Spain – 19 August 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: impossible de se changer dans les vestiaires ou de prendre une douche avant le depart ….
Love the hotel – Yaron from Israel – 4 July 2024 (9/10)
I used to come to this hotel for many years , but due to traffic limitations of my Chinese colleagues that need to come and meet me , I moved to other locations, now, I have returned and felt just like home.
The location is great, just 15min walking from the West Lake, and everything is close and reach.
The hotel still keeps its high level and comfort as it used to.
What could be improved: Coffee… Usually in China I don’t have great expectations form the coffee at breakfast, but recently visited in Beijing, and coffee was great.
Here they still have the previous "old style" coffee quality that is not good. As coffee lover and especially in the morning, its important for me.Good – Ярослав from Russia – 13 May 2024 (7/10)
Хороший завтрак. Хороший бассейн. Хоршее месторасположение.
What could be improved: Номера "уставшие", пора бы их подремонтировать. Скорость Интернета очень низкая.Very good – Ian from New Zealand – 8 December 2023 (8/10)
Superb – William from Hong Kong – 8 October 2023 (9/10)
Good. I'll be back. – Robert from Hong Kong – 1 September 2023 (7/10)
