When I first pulled up to the Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Wetland Park Resort, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from another chain hotel. But this five-star property completely changed my perspective on what a luxury resort could be in Hangzhou. The setting is absolutely stunning — you’re literally surrounded by protected wetlands, and the architecture feels like it was designed to blend seamlessly with the natural landscape. The Xihu District Advantage

The location in Xihu district is actually brilliant, and I can see why couples rate it so highly. You’re far enough from the city center to feel like you’re in a nature retreat, but close enough that you can easily explore Hangzhou’s famous West Lake and historic sites. What I loved most was having free parking — something you definitely can’t take for granted in this part of China. The resort sits right on Zijinggang Road, which means you’ve got easy access to both the wetland park trails and the main transportation routes. This positioning makes it an ideal base for exploration.

I’ll be honest, I’m pretty picky about hotel beds, but the room here exceeded every expectation. Those reviews about the incredibly comfortable beds? They’re not exaggerating. I mean, I actually slept better here than I do at home, which is saying something. The rooms are spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the wetland views perfectly.   The environment is nice and the staffs are very courtesy. The rooms we stayed were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. We have a very pleasant and memorable stay.
  
  What could be improved: I booked 4 rooms for a 3 night stay with my family and relatives, a group of 9 people. At the time of check in I was asked to provide the names of the persons who are going to stay in which rooms. This was inconvenient to make the arrangement of who and who stay in which rooms at the movement. I think it would be better to let the guesses take their time to settle down and make the decision.
